Literature Text
A person fails beauty, for them you now don't care,
It is only in your past that you can create an image that is fair,
It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
Truth and lies, my wife; I fold her,
Rather than state a change,
Emotions evolve and rearrange,
A partner can age, love remains in its position,
White hair, a fleeting soul, fact or fiction?
I a stereotype, a single strong word,
The bleeding heart standing away from its herd,
During class I respect my teacher,
Then his words become that of a preacher,
Friends use to stand on my side,
Then pointed fingers, my breasts I hide,
Neighbours kids use to kick a ball,
Now my phone receives a consistent call,
One of instincts, habits now known,
I look back and cry for u have grown,
A person fails beauty, for them you now don't care,
I envy common, for I am the foundation of your stare.

Mother
You told me to not swear, yet you would swear at me daily You told me to not lie, yet you would lie to me everyday You told me that you loved me, yet I was a burden to you daily. You told me that I needed to be perfect, but what was perfection in your eyes? You told me that I failed you, but you failed me all my life You told me that you would protect me, but I needed protection from you You told me that I wasn't allowed to cry, but you were the one that made me cry You told me that you would help me, but I was the one always helping you Everyday the words still haunt me, but each day you told me to move on Everyday I can vision your anger, but each day I pretended it never really happened Everyday I hear your voice, but each day I tell myself what you have told me Everyday I needed your protection, but each day I reminded myself that I had to do this alone Mom, I still cant forget the things you have said and done, but each day i grow stronger Mom, apologies wont change a damn

Nothing and Everything
I ain't got much for nobody,
I ain't got much of anything.
But I've got you, and that means a lot
Cos you're my everything.

Broken Children
We are God's broken children
He is cruel. He beats our heads in
And calls it love. No more. (I am due more than pain.)
I won't take His cruel kindness again.
I will find some new god more like me:
One beaten, broken, treated cruelly.
Blamed for his own pain and his disgrace,
Humble enough to be a god only in lowercase.
